Marginalia
The Annotate verb. Reading a markdown document in the Tome, select a passage and press the marginalia key; a popover offers highlight (default on), daily note (default on), and prompt (default off, deferred) plus a free-text thought field. On commit, the passage is wrapped ==…== and a > [!note] comment box is attached in the source (the Barthes-proven format M11 already renders), the doc gains type:reading-comment, and — per the toggles — the passage + thought append to today's Daily Note Insights & Learning, linked to the source. This is the tool for the common reading of Leo XIV - Magnifica Humanitas — the Pontifex's words on AI / on the ghost — landing annotations in the substrate Claudian reads.
